Intrum has two service lines Credit Management Services and Portfolio Investment. The Portfolio Investment unit acquired over €1bn of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) the past 12 months and we have over €4bn in assets under management, making us on of the world’s largest investors and managers of NPLs.
The Group Portfolio Management is a newly started team within Portfolio Investment, whose purpose is to maximize the value of acquired NPL portfolios, drive operational improvements and provide reports and analysis to facilitate decision-making. In your role you will be a central part of this team providing key actionable insights.
What you will be doing:
Prepare / scrub large sets of data provided by our local operations
Use your analytical skills to transform the data into reports and business insights to be present to key decision makers
Enhance and develop both the analytical and operational toolkit by using available data and various statistical methods, such as machine learnings algorithms
Collaborate with team members and operational teams across Europe
We expect that you have:
BSc or MSc in Statistics / Economics / Computer Science / Finance or related area
R or Python and SQL proficiency
At least 3 years' experience in relevant field
Expertise in applying statistical concepts to business situations
Highly numerical and analytical
Knowledge in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, other European languages is a plus
Experience in underwriting and management of non-performing loans (including knowledge of high level procedures and resolution strategies) is a plus
